Universal Transitional Kindergarten
Universal Transitional Kindergarten (UTK) for the 2023/24 school year will be available to students who turn 5 years old between September 2, 2023 and September 1, 2024. Students must be 4 years old by September 1, 2023 to be eligible for UTK.
- If my child is of Transitional Kindergarten age, can I request kindergarten placement instead? Transitional Kindergarten age requirements are state law and no exceptions are made.
- If my child is of kindergarten age, can I enroll in Transitional Kindergarten instead if I’d like to? Dixie Canyon Community Charter will consider placement of a student into Transitional Kindergarten based upon teacher and administrator observations, parent requests and space availability.
- My resident school does not offer Transitional Kindergarten. Can my child attend Dixie Canyon Community Charter? Students who do not live in the area must apply for Open Enrollment. Click here to learn more about the Open Enrollment process.
